At Made Home, we love nothing more than to step into a situation with you that may seem overwhelming, and ease that process completely. This can take many forms, from a simple declutter before photos are taken, just styling your space for market, or we can walk with you throughout the entire journey from when you first think about selling, to having you set up in your brand new home.

You might be thinking, “But, where do we begin?”

Most lived in and loved homes have seen many years of life and will require a collaborative vision between us and you, our client, to take it to that eventual point of sale. We are yet to meet a home that doesn’t require a bit of a declutter (of varying degrees) before styling can take place, so please don’t fret that, “Oh I couldn’t have you through just yet, I have too much to do first!”.

Depending on the rate at which you’d like to get your property on the market, we can either work with you at a gentle pace to declutter one space at a time, slowly working our way through rooms and memories to ensure valuable items are kept or stored, and the excess is removed from sight and from site. If your timing is a little more pressing, we can rip the band-aid off and assign an entire team to fly through and get it done quickly, while you sit in a comfortable chair, telling us what to keep and what to sort. As soon as spaces are cleared of any surplus, our team can then work with you towards preparing your home for professional photographs. By this stage you will have likely enlisted a real estate agent, so we will work with them with regard to your shoot date in order to get your campaign off the ground. Our styling team work beautiful miracles, and can work within a variety of parameters; from utilising only your own possessions in tandem with our soft styling range, to filling an entirely empty space with beautiful pieces to present your home with its very best foot forward. We want to see your home truly shine and help all potential buyers see the wonderful future they could have there, too.

Once you’ve walked through the journey of open homes, accepting offers and final sale, it’s time to start packing! If we have helped you with the declutter process, chances are high that we have already started to pack sentimental items away for you. We will continue this process, of sorting, packing and cataloguing your items, ensuring that fragile items are well cared for and space within packing boxes is used wisely. We take an enormous amount of pride in our method of packing, which leaves nothing to chance and provides you with the means to locate any item, at any time - whether your boxes are going to storage or straight into your new home. We’ve refined our systems over many years to work like a well oiled machine, so that nothing is ever lost and every box will find its way to the rightful room.

We work with a regular team of removalists, who are well versed in our systems and who will confidently and carefully collect your belongings and deliver them to your new space. And if you haven’t found your forever home yet? Not to worry! We can arrange storage for your lesser used boxes until the time comes to unpack fully.

Now we get to one of our favourite parts, the almighty unpack! Depending on the size of home you are relocating from, and the size of space you’re settling into, we have been known in the past to set up entire houses in a single day. Imagine heading off to work in the morning from one home, and wrapping up your day to head to your new home, only to walk in to a fully equipped kitchen, freshly made beds and art hanging on the walls. Yep, we’ve done it before! And in the instance that we can’t provide the wondrous single day turnaround (let’s be realistic, and understand that those are special circumstances), your new home will be fully unpacked in the quickest possible time frame, waiting to welcome you home. We do all the heavy lifting, so that you don’t have to. Our goal is to see you settled and relaxed, from the moment you set foot inside your new abode.
