"I needed to move my mother into a nursing home & had to have her home sold. As an only child with my own family commitments, a very busy job, having to try get mum into a facility, I was in a really stressful position. To pack up my mum's house and deal with everything was impossible.

Through the real estate team selling the house they recommended Made Home. In all honesty, they saved the day by making an impossible situation, possible. They worked with mum & myself over time to pack everything in boxes, assign for selling, charity or rubbish & then had everything dispersed accordingly. They had the house organised & in top shape for it to be sold.

The compassion that they showed my mum & I during this period was really quite extraordinary. I will forever be indebted to the team for getting me through this period of time. It is really quite difficult to put into words how much of a weight was taken off my shoulders during what was a pretty awful few months.

“The most daunting part of the whole process was developing a plan of action and knowing what to list, sell, auction, give away and who to contact to clean, carpet clean, complete paint touch ups and small jobs with the goal  of emptying the property ready to be styled in a three week timeframe!

We chose ‘Made Home’ as they were recommended to be able to manage much of this while we managed some of the smaller practical components and the considerable emotional side of the move.

The communication from Kirsty was excellent. Some things were able to change and Kirsty was able to organise all the cleaning and preparation before styling once the property was empty. Just having those contacts and organising quotes and schedules saved us a couple of weeks work!

The process was definitely simplified. It was a considerably shorter process and less draining process for us. In the long run it was better to empty the place and have it styled before sale. It certainly looks appealing.

At first Made Home sounded expensive. We appreciated the detailed quote where we could see what was involved. In the end, we found it incredibly inexpensive for the work that was done. We wholeheartedly recommend Kirsty and her team.

We really liked the way that Kirsty knew what to list to sell and for how much, what to give away and where so that very little was wasted. It was good that we were able to help some people with some goods which felt much better than them ending up as waste.”
