Meet Lisa
Take 5 with… Lisa!
We understand how strange it might feel to welcome a relative stranger into your home for what can be quite an overwhelming and sometimes emotional process. Sorting through years worth of belongings that have sentimental value is a big deal! So in order to ease any nerves and begin our journey together in a safe space, we’ll be sitting down with our team members over the coming months, to introduce ourselves a little and break the ice.
Today we would like for you to meet the lovely Lisa; mum to 3 fully grown men, lover of a sneaky cocktail with her hubby and one of the beautiful Project Managers at Made Home.
What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
The Eagles, in the Hunter Valley. It was a full moon over the vineyards, good food + wine, plus most iconic band ever! What an experience!
How do you wind down on a Friday night?
G&T on the couch, probably some take away Thai and a movie/TV show!
Tell us about one of your greatest achievements in life.
My family - my husband and beautiful sons and daughter-in-law are the joy of my heart (may sound totally soppy - but TRUE!!).
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Exercise and stretching daily! Need to stay strong and fit for all the fun things to be done in the future.
A healthy diet aside, if you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Ooooooh - tricky question! Soft cheeses, no - chicken in all its forms, no- crisps and spinach dip, no - french toast… I can’t make up my mind 😂😂
What advice would you give to your teenage self?
Losing yourself to try and keep everyone else happy is never a good option.
What is your favourite way to re-energise?
A long walk on the beach.
What do you believe MH should be most proud of?
The vision of Kirsty as founder, and the way she is structuring / shaping the business. The breadth of services offered, the combination of team, the building of relationships for longevity of the company, it’s all just brilliant!
What do you believe makes MH so unique?
That all of us in the business have a real grip on the privilege that it is to come alongside folk who engage our services because they are in a particularly stressful, at times vulnerable, time of their life. We get to make a difference in how that all plays out for them.
When talking with your friends, what is one thing you always tell them about MH?
That I love my work, and what an honour it is to make such a difference in peoples lives.
Thank you for taking the time to share with us, Lisa! If you’d like to know more about how Lisa and the team can help you with your next move, please reach out and have a chat today.
