Meet Kirsty
Take 5 with… our beautiful Founder, Kirsty!
Kirsty needs very little introduction. As the founder of Made Home, she is the generous-hearted powerhouse behind all that we do.
Our hearts desire is to ensure that you carry a sense of familiarity with us, even before we meet face to face. We want to ensure that you feel well looked after during our time with you. This is why we are introducing each of our team members over the coming months, well before we set foot inside your home. We may not have met you yet, but we would love for you to get to know us!
Kirsty is the dreamer of Made Home, has recently joined many of us in Mama-Hood and is a true delight to spend time with.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Probably Shakshouka, it’s delicious and perfect for breakfast lunch or dinner!
What song always gets you out on the dance floor?
Ooooh that’s a tough one! I always love everything by Beyonce, so I’d have to nominate her as my must-dance artist.
What activity instantly calms you?
Running! It’s been quite a long break with pregnancy but I’ve recently picked it back up again and it feels better than ever!
How do you take your coffee?
First coffee of the day has to be a batch brew. Anything after that is an Oat Flat White.
What is at the very top of your bucket list?
I’d really love to buy and renovate a home! I grew up with my parents renovating around me on the regular, so it would be a lot of fun to embark on my own.
What’s something that you’re excited about right now?
With a newborn in the picture, my life approach at the moment is very day-by-day. I’m usually just excited for my next shower and coffee!! I’m really loving being witness to all the little milestones and changes with my daughter Frankie, it’s really special.
What is your vision for MH’s future?
I’d love to see MH in more places, being able to reach and help more people. We’re starting with Greater Sydney, then will plan to expand to Greater NSW. Then, who knows! There is no shortage of overwhelmed individuals out there who are downsizing, moving, managing estates… and I want to be able to help them. So many of our clients say to us, “I don’t know how we'd do this without you”, so I hate to think of people out there, struggling on their own.
What is your favourite aspect of MH?
I’d have to say our team. After building this company by myself for so long, it surprised me just how much joy actually came from building up a phenomenal team. They bless our clients, they bless each other and they bless me, daily.
Where has MH taken you, that you least expected?
Physically? We have been in some extremely prestigious homes, in some of the wealthiest suburbs of Sydney. It’s been a honour to be trusted by our clients within such high calibre homes. Emotionally? Second to my daughter, MH has been my greatest challenge and achievement. It’s not that I didn't hope for it to succeed, I just am constantly blown away that people invite us into their world and trust us so deeply.
Where do you hope to find yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully with a few more babies, both children and business babies! After all, MH is my first child and I love to watch her grow.
